The bullring in Valencia was built between 1850-1860. It is neoclassical, inspired by the Roman civil architecture, theater Flavio Marcelo (Colosseum), or the amphitheater of Nimes (France). It was built by Valencian architect Sebastián Monleón Estellés. Shaped polygon of 48 sides, with more than 17 meters high.
The ring has a diameter of 52 meters. It is therefore one of the largest squares in Spain.
It was inaugurated on June 20, 1859. Its capacity is 10,500 seats after a reform in 2010
It can be visited by a scheduled tour since 2013.
Trade fairs: It has Fallas Fair which takes place in the month of March with the symbolic date of 19 March, the day of St. Joseph, patron of the city. And July Fair, a week of bulls this month.
You can reach the bullring, through the Valencia Metro, on the green line 5, stop "Xativa".
