Valdemorillo and its bull fair are about to officially close the posters of its fair of San Blas that will be composed of two bullfights and a bullfight with picadores. The biggest festivities will count on the presence of El Cid, Paulita and Iván Fandiño with herds of Monte la Ermita (still with the iron of Carmen Segovia) for Saturday 4 February, while the subscription will close a poster of young bullfighters with Cristian Escribano , Posada de Maravillas and David Martín Escudero with bulls of Buenavista.
Unlike last year, a novillada with picadores will replace the celebration of rejones. For the occasion, an international poster is being designed with a French novillero, another Colombian and a Spanish that will be announced with a confinement of Gómez de Morales. The bullfight will be on February 6, Monday.
Saturday 4. El Cid, Paulita and Fandiño (Mount the Hermitage)
Sunday 5. Cristian Escribano, Posada de Maravillas and Martín Escudero (Buenavista)
Monday 6. Fernando Flores, Andy Younes y Santiago Sánchez
Recall also that the poster of Valdemorillo will be a tribute to Victor Barrio #EternoVictorBarrio, winner of the fair of the year 2015, and deceased by bull horn in Teruel, July 9, 2016.
The bullring of Valdemorillo, La Candelaria, was built in 2002, and is one of the most modern in the Community of Madrid.
The history of the Bullring de Valdemorillo began exactly in May 2002, when the City Council published a statement for the exchange of municipal land in exchange for the construction of a bullring.
After being held for many years the fair in a portable plaza, on February 4, 2003, with the plaza unfinished, failing the deck, the coso hosted its first celebration. That afternoon they were the right-handed Vicente Barrera, Dávila Miura and Julio Pedro Saavedra who made the first paseíllo to stock a confinement of Antonio San Roman.
On February 4, 2007, the Plaza de Toros de la Candelaria was reopened, displaying a modern cover for the occasion, guaranteeing the fair to be held whatever the weather conditions. "Jesulín de Ubrique", Manuel Díaz "El Cordobés" and Francisco Rivera Ordóñez completed the poster of the reopening of the bullring, where as in the first bullfight, the bulls belonged to the cattle ranch of Antonio San Román.
Valdemorillo celebrates the bullfights in the celebrations in honor of San Blás (February 3 in the West and February 11 in the East) and the Virgen de la Candelaria or Feast of Light.
