History

It was founded at the end of the eighteenth century by Don Atanasio de Lamo with cattle of Don José Jijón and augmented with cows of the Marquis de Cúllar de Baza, passing later on to his son Don Jose. In 1914 he takes over the cattle ranch Jerónimo Frías, heir to Don Jose de Lamo, which in 1922 added a lot of cows of the Duke of Veragua and six years later a stallion, named "Canastillo", Don Luis Melgarejo Tordesillas. José Tomás Frías, the eldest son of Don Jeronimo, is replaced by a stallion named "Cigarrón" by Don Samuel Flores, who later added a batch of 50 cows and a stallion named "Tetuano" Domingo Ortega. On the death of Don José Tomás in 1977, the cattle ranch is announced in the name of his children. In 1993 under Article 6 of the Statutes, Mr. Ramón Frías remains the sole owner. In 1998 it is acquired by don Alberto Mateos Arroyo, retaining the same iron, currency and antiquity. Constituted it with eighty cows and three stallions contributed of its iron of the A.G.L, of origin Baltasar Ibán and 32 cows and a stallion in which reduced the acquired one to gift Ramón Frías, maintaining the two encastes separately. In 2005 he eliminated everything from Gamero Civico.
